Fine Dining

The food at Highgrove is a gastronomical experience. Fresh vegetables and herbs are utilized from our organic vegetable garden and we support local farmers to reduce our carbon footprint and to deliver fresh ingredients of the highest standard.

As we are situated on a Macadamia nut and avocado farm and have our own bee-hives honey, many of our signature dishes use these divine, fresh ingredients during harvesting.

Our chocolates and fondues are blended with Belgium Swiss chocolate and our very own Macadamia nuts for you to enjoy.

The Royal

The Royal at Highgrove House is a award winning fine dining restaurant for several years and serving globally inspired culinary cuisine.

Pause for a while in the intimate bar or on the spacious colonial verandah before entering the romantic, candlelit dining room with the gleam of silver, dark woods and white table setting for a memorable experience.

At The Royal the finest locally produced ingredients are used ensuring socially and environmentally conscious menu. A 5 Course Table d’hôte Menu is served with an option between two main courses and two desserts. Combine these excellent dishes with our selected wines on offer and you have a Gastronomic experience.

The produce from the Highgrove Farm are also used extensively in the menu, such produce includes avocados, macadamia nuts, raw honey and a variety of herbs and vegetables from our organic gardens.

The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs

We are a proud member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs an international gastronomic society, an international gastronomic society founded in Paris in 1950.

The Chaine is devoted to promoting fine dining and the pleasures of the table through the social interaction, hospitality and expertise of its members. All members are invited to attend a monthly dinner/lunch at the Lowveld members venues.

With a passion for food and love for cooking, we are privileged to say that our kitchen staff under
the head of Thelma Mbuyane and creates the most delicious cuisine.

We are very proud of the team and their daily spontaneous approach in creating all dishes from scratch and guests enjoying the fine cuisine are always a blessing on any chef’s face.

Our staff members have been with us for over 20 years and this is remarkable in itself.
